paleo asian turkey wraps

these are a quick go-to in our house...

1 pound of ground organic turkey
1 red bell pepper, finely diced
3-4 green onions, finely diced
8-10 shitake mushrooms, cut into strips
2 tablespoons of black bean garlic paste (not paleo, but it's a only small amount)
1/4 teaspoon of sesame oil (a little goes a long way here, don't overdo it!)
good olive oil
salt
pepper
boston lettuce
sliced or slivered almonds

saute the bell pepper, green onions and mushrooms in the olive oil over medium-high heat, season with salt and pepper. once peppers have become soft (5-7 minutes) add the ground turkey. once turkey is almost cooked through, add the black bean paste and the sesame oil. cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until turkey is crumbled and cooked through.

scoop heaping spoonfuls into washed and dried lettuce cups and top with slivered almonds. wrap them up and eat them like a taco!

customize this to your liking. almost any vegetable-protein combo works here.

ENJOY!
